Adult Ballet performance opportunity

About the Piece
Similar to the level of summer 2025 concert adult choreography, this new choreography will be geared towards beginner intermediate, intermediate, and advanced adult students in our program. This will be a 3-4 minute neo-classical piece to music by Sophie Hutchins with both demi-pointe and pointe components.

(If there are two or three beginners who would like to participate in a performance opportunity, I will be happy to add a component with beginner-specific choreography but it will likely need to be rehearsed separately, so please reach out if you are a beginner who is interested.)

Performance Details
The performance will take place on Thursday, March 19th at Molloy University (Madison Theater) 8pm-~9:30pm during the senior and junior company spring concert. The children will be performing ‘Fantasia’ & ‘Lark Ascending’ by Raf Vaughn Williams, as well as shorter pieces by Esther Abrami and Sophie Hutchins.

Tickets to the performance will be $46 for general admission seating. There will be no comp tickets available for this performance.

Costumes
There is a possible costume price of $90-$130 depending on if/what new costume is selected. I am currently aiming to re-use the costume used for summer concert 2025 so long as new participants have access (either already own, we can still receive from supplier and/or they can borrow/buy from a prior participant). If a new costume is needed, I will let dancers know before first rehearsal. If you have a costume that you will not need for this concert and would like to lend or sell it, please let me know.

Unlike Nutcracker, there is no media fee for this concert as we have volunteers to film and photograph.

For planning purposes, please let me know if you intend to participate before January 15th.

There is a possibility of additional student-led rehearsal time during February break if desired, however, I will be away so that will be coordinated with participants
