Class Descriptions
All of the adult classes at Integral Ballet are open format and run in six-week series. They are a great way to kick start an exercise program, or switch up your routine, without a long-term commitment. Please click on our current class info link to determine which classes are being offered this semester.
Ballet Classical ballet is known for its graceful movements and precise technique, but it can also be a great workout and a lot of fun. Integral Ballet offers Ballet for students of all ages and levels of experience. Whether you danced as a child, or always wanted to, our Ballet classes will challenge your body, stimulate your mind, and free your spirit. Fitted, comfortable gym clothes, or a leotard and tights, with ballet slippers are suggested for this class. Hair should be pulled back.
Progressing Ballet Technique® is a revolutionary program for students that helps in training muscle memory to achieve their best in ballet training. It is a wonderful core strengthening, aligning and flexibility enhancing program recommended and advised by physiologists and ballet coaches around the world. Equipment including BOSU trainder, stability balls, mats and thera-bands will provided.
Barre Fusion A moderate-intense combination of yoga, Pilates, floor barre and ballet. This seminar series includes a fun soundtrack of remixed ballet favorites and upbeat classical music. This class is suitable for any level of ballet technique, beginner through continuing dancers. Fitted, comfortable gym clothes, or a leotard and tights, with ballet slippers are suggested for this class. Hair should be pulled back.
Pilates Fusion This class includes floor work and an intense Vinyasa yoga flow sequence to tone leg and abdominal muscles. Fitted, comfortable gym clothes and bare feet are suggested for this class.
Hip Hop Have fun and shake the stress away as you learn the fundamentals of hip hop and build on a combination each week. No experience necessary, but be prepared to have fun. Indoor-only sneakers are suggested for this class.
Modern Limon-style movements combine fluidity and grace with less stress on the knees and turn out than ballet class.
Belly Dance Wiggle, giggle and have a great time in this hour long class. Great for relief from back pain and other ailments. Great for moms-to-be as well. Authentic middle eastern rhythms, drumming and melody are incorporated with dance, veil work and zylls. Coin belts and fun accessories are entirely welcome. Soft shoes or bare foot suggested.
Belly Dance Core Workout Classes include basic belly dance movement drills to tone and lengthen the tummy, legs and arms.
Tap Workshops Classic and "Street" tap dance technique. No prior experience necessary.
Vinyasa Yoga Moderate to intensive yoga flow sequence with certified instructors combines core-strength, toning, stretch, fluidity and grace for a one of a kind work out. Great for dancers. Fitted, comfortable gym clothing suggested. Barefoot required.
Beach Yoga Moderate Vinyasa flow done on the beach. Bring yoga mat, blanket, towel, sunglasses and dress in layers. Carpooling is offered from the studio for Beach Yoga class. Students that drive alone are responsible for their own parking.
